mpshelli asked: I’m 16, and this past summer we found out I have ADHD. I am on medication for it, and I don’t know the name of the medication, but I do know that it’s the second to the lowest dosage there is. I started taking solo slim about 4 days ago, and I like it. I haven’t got any bad side affects.. Just a little dry mouth which I can handle because I drink water or chew gum constantly. But is it a serious danger to be taking solo slim with my ADHD medication?

somewhat_med asked: What sort of effect do these medications have on someone who does NOT have add/adhd? I’ve heard of a lot of parents taking their childrens meds and also that it is a pretty hot commodity on the street….just wondering why

Jynxed asked: My daughter has ADHD and we have tried different medications, but can’t seem to find the right one or combination for her. She has been on Adderall (5 months), then Foculin(next 3 months), Strattera and Ritalin(next yr. and a half), and presently on Concerta(these past few months). Her attitude is very bossy, she backtalks constantly and yells. She’s also very emotional! This all seems as a typical 9 yr. old, but a lot of times it is taken to the extremes of behavior. Please help! I need to see what other options there are to consider to discuss with her doctor at her next appt. Thanks!

I think its making me sick of her cuz i obsess about her and it feels like im getting sick of her for no reason when just a week ago i was in love with her. I go back on medication for OCD in a week. Is it just my OCD or am i really sick of her?

Nate D asked: I have been diagnosed with Clinical Depression, ADHD (and its pretty bad, I have to take 2 different medications, at max dosage and normally I’m at about 45% of where most people are). I’m prone to anxiety attacks. I have no appetite, I’m just never hungry, but its not like I can’t eat I do, when I remember. I do not like talking to psychiatrists or therapists because thats just who I am. I believe the mind is powerful though ,and that modern medicine is good for many things. Any suggestions on what to do. (Under 21 male)
OK I forgot a couple details. I have concerta, ritalin and prozac, and my doctor knows whats going on.
With no intention of any disrespect & just to clarify: I’ve had these problems with me for over 4 years, and i didn’t get any medication until 2 years ago (meds aren’t the problem). I’m not religious in any way, and can’t be convinced otherwise (again no disrespect).

absolutroot asked: I badly need help paying for adhd treatments, but do not want to apply for disability–I am fully capable of working…I just can’t hold a job if I do not get treatment/and possibly meds. WIll medicaid help cover medical expenses so that I do not have to file for disability? Or do they make you file for disability to be considered disabled?
note to fatamorrighan:
you are a moron. read the full question. i am not trying to apply for disability. I am trying to avoid applying for it. Also, do you think I would be applying to medicaid if I had insurance? Maybe, but probably not. Let me rephrase the question for you. I am an off and on college student with adhd. I do not have any college loans because my parents make too much money to apply for them, but they will not support me for college. I can not hold a job long enough to even get medical insurance, and even IF i got it now, it would not cover adhd treatments because it is a mental health issue which almost no one covers. So, my only real choice is medicaid to cover the extremely expensive behavioral treatments and medications–or otherwise take no action and keep fucking my life up until i finally go postal. I know it is a wall of text, but try to read through that, bitch.
