blondelilsailor4u asked: I know I have ADHD.. Can’t sit still concentrate and all that jazz. Talked to my doc about it and she agrees. I have been but on Wellbutrin 150 mg and my trazadone at night. Do you think this will work? How long will it take to help me concentrate and not jump from one thing to the next without finishing it?? We also talked about going on adderall. We are trying this avenue first to help me with the ADHD and to quit smoking. Any info would be great. Thank you

anarak82 asked: It’s supposed to be a less abusable stimulant for ADHD, it was recently approved… I’ve had drug abuse problems in the past, and strattera has had little effect, Provigil has been my only help in the ADHD arena since my doctor won’t prescribe the other stimulants for me.

Lisa S asked: For example, if they disrupt the classroom daily, can’t control their anger, etc. Is it fair to expose all the other kids to this daily disruption? Just curious to see what others think.

Bali D asked: This kid i know has a REALLY terrible life. He’s adopted and his parents essentially have kicked him out now that he is 18. He has SEVERE ADHD and other emotional/mental disorders, but not to the point that he is dangerous if he is on his medications….
He is ruining his life with drugs and alcohol, living with random people he meets for weeks at a time…
I just really have no idea other than the military of what he can do. Can he even go into the military with his conditions? If not, any ideas of what he CAN do? I am really worried he will end up dead or in jail in the next year if he doesn’t get help…

Meeeee!!!!1 asked: Hello, my mother was recently diagnosed with Adult ADD. She was put on Effexor about a year ago but taken off due to her liver (enzymes?) showing very elevated levels.
I am looking to see which (if any) ADD medications are out there that are the easiest on the liver.
Her liver counts are good now that she stopped taking Effexor and she has never had this problem with other medications (she takes Advair daily for her asthma and has taken other antidepressants for the past 15 years with no problems).
I’m nervous about just going with whatever her doctor decides next because the liver thing almost got missed as they were not monitoring her bloodwork at all.
I am hoping there is something out there for her to help with the ADD that won’t throw her liver out of whack again.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
Sorry for the confusion - the Effexor was prescribed for depression not ADD. She is off all antidepressants now and doing well. I wanted to mention it by name because she has taken other antidepressants in the past ( Prozac and Zoloft) and had no liver issues.
Just recently her doctor diagnosed her with ADD. I am concerned because I don’t know if her liver was reacting to the Effexor or just to medications in general.
Thanks again!
